On Saturday, America awoke with a very sincere statement by Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who noted that the country would benefit more if the political differences didn’t determine the faith of the country to the extent they are now.
While speaking at the Arena Stage in Washington, D.C., following The Originalist performance, Ginsburg made a fair point deserving of our attention.
The play itself tells the story of a relationship between now-departed Justice Antonin Scalia and a Democratic legal staffer hired by him.
The objective of Scalia’s move was to keep a balance between the difference in opinions the two parties had.
“I love this play and the idea behind it that people with very different views on important things can genuinely like each other,” Ginsburg commented after to the play.
Also, Ginsburg noted that the country has bright days ahead “over the long haul.”
She also offered her approach in both the overly left and overly right influence saying, “You can look forward to it moving back.” she said.
