The “resident liberal” co-host of Fox News’s “The Five” is getting ripped apart on social media for comments she made during the Wednesday evening edition of the show concerning President Donald Trump’s poll numbers.
Jessica Tarlov, an openly liberal fixture on the cable behemoth, is the only left-wing voice on the program’s panel, which is made up of either conservatives or centrists. But that has never stopped her from attempting to craft pro-Democrat or anti-Trump narratives for viewers of the show.
The liberal co-host made the claim that Trump was not doing well in recent polling data, which, unfortunately for her, was quickly debunked by folks online.
“The truth is that the Democrats are very unpopular,” Tarlov went on to say during the show. “But so is a lot of what Donald Trump has been doing. So, in polling, Marquette, Fox News, all the goodies, he is down 16 on the economy, down 14 on the foreign policy, 26 on handling tariffs, and 32 on cost-of-living. And this reconciliation bill that they’re trying to pass through the Senate right now has the opposition from more senators than they can handle.”
Tarlov then took a moment to list off Republican members of the Senate who aren’t thrilled about the “Big, Beautiful Bill” the president has pushed.
“So, if this is the big-ticket item, right, this is the big marquee agenda piece,” she explained. “That we’re gonna give tax cuts to the wealthy and we’re gonna take away food assistance and Medicaid, so we’re hurting the poor to help the rich, that does not bode well for 2026 for the Republicans or 2028 when we are going to have a big, beautiful primary and we’ll get a candidate and everyone will forget about the hoity-toity and (Democrats) will be victorious.”Florida’s Voice News’s Eric Daugherty replied to the video clip of Tarlov’s far-fetched tale, saying, “Stop tainting The Five with your misinformation. No, he absolutely is not. His approval rating is 52%-53%.”
During the last several weeks, Tarlov has been pumping out one attempted takedown of the president after another.
After President Trump’s Memorial Day message on Truth Social, Tarlov responded with harsh criticism.
“Between this and his West Point address, it’s pretty clear Donald Trump isn’t concerned with the troops and is just in it for himself. No mention of the fallen soldiers from our Commander in Chief,” she said.
