Joy Behar Snaps, Says Dems Should Write Off Male Voters: ‘Waste Of Money’

“The View” co-host Joy Behar does not appear to be concerned with the Democratic Party’s shrinking appeal to male voters, even as left-wing political strategists scramble to right the ship following former Vice President Kamala Harris’ crushing defeat.

The left-wing panel was discussing a recent meeting of Democratic Party strategists and activists aimed at appealing to men after a steep decline in support over the lasts several election cycles. According to a report from the New York Times, Democrats decided to spend $20 million on a study titled “Speaking with American Men: A Strategic Plan.”

The project is meant to “study the syntax, language and content that gains attention and virality in these spaces” of male voters. The meeting reportedly focused heavily on the emergence of the podcast space, which played a big role in the presidential election after President Trump sat down with some of the world’s most popular hosts, including Joe Rogan, Theo Von and many more.

Some of the donors and activists involved with the project explicitly view it as a way to “create” a “liberal Joe Rogan,” the New York Times reported. Behar was not happy with the report, however, disparaging it as “20 million bucks just to talk to boys.”

“You know what I think? I think it’s a waste of money. Maybe these guys should spend their money on teaching men to not be such sexists,” Behar said, drawing cheers and applause from the audience.

Co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin pushed back by pointing to the fact that Trump found far more success among voters that don’t traditionally vote Republican when compared with any of his predecessors. This includes record levels of support among black voters and Hispanic voters.

Behar responded by doubling down on “sexism” allegations by arguing that the president only won because he was running against a woman. “You think Democrats that were with Biden in 2020 left to be with Trump because they’re sexist?” Griffin followed up.

“I don’t know the reason, but it’s very suspicious,” Behar replied.

Griffin argued that the idea of hiring consultants to study ways to reach male voters highlights the core issue with the Democratic Party going forward. “What made Joe Rogan or Theo Von or some of these manosphere guys huge was there’s a level of authenticity,” she said.

Griffin further noted that Joe Rogan was once a supporter of Bernie Sanders before endorsing Trump down the stretch of the presidential election. “Joe Rogan was a Bernie Bro. Democrats lost him. They had their own Joe Rogan and then alienated him with policies.”
